Lab Alumni

Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tennessee

Dr. Lussich served as a PhD Graduate Research Assistant in the Biogeochemical Nutrient Cycling Lab (2022-25). His research primarily focused on using N isotopes and molecular methods to understand biogeochemical mechanisms of soil nitrous oxide emissions in response to long-term conservation practices (no-tillage and cover cropping).

Agricultural Research Scientist at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research

Dr. Garnaik was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the lab (2024-25) who developed machine learning models to estimate global greenhouse gas fluxes.

Arjun Chhetri

Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tennessee

Dr. Chhetri previously held the position of PhD Graduate Research Assistant in the Biogeochemical Nutrient Cycling Lab (2021-24). His research focused on soil nitrogen dynamics and greenhouse gas emissions from organic grain production systems.

Dinesh Panday

Soil Scientist at the Rodale Institute

Dr. Panday formerly served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Biogeochemical Nutrient Cycling Lab (2020-22). During his time at the University of Tennessee, his research focused on exploring the influence of conservation cropping system practices on soil nitrogen dynamics under climate-induced precipitation variability.
