Postdoctoral Research Associate, Saheed Garnaik, has joined the Biogeochemical Nutrient Cycling Lab!
Saheed received a PhD in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology in Bhubaneswar, India. Before that, he completed a Master of Science in Soil Science at Punjab Agricultural University and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. His research interests include sustainable farming, climate smart-agriculture, greenhouse gas emission mitigation, soil health, machine learning, and big data analysis.
In the Biogeochemical Nutrient Cycling Lab, Saheed will be developing machine learning models to estimate global greenhouse gas fluxes, particularly nitrous oxide. We look forward to working with Saheed in the years to come.
