Presley Nickens placed in two competitions at the CANVAS conference, formerly known as the Tri-Societies International Annual Meeting. The 2025 conference, held in Salt Lake City, had over 3,000 abstracts submitted and inspired attendees to impact future scientific advancements. Her presentations and prizes are as follows:

• “Cows and Effect: How Grazing Steers Diurnal Greenhouse Gas Fluxes” 2nd Place Poster Presentation in the Soil Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Community.
• “The Great Graze-Off: Tall Fescue vs. Native Warm-Season Grasses in the GHG Arena” 3rd Place Oral Presentation in the Animal Agriculture and the Environment Community.

Presley’s favorite memory from the conference was connecting with and learning from other scientists who work with soil GHG fluxes in grazing systems. Congratulations, Presley!
